A fascination with language at school took Mark into a long and successful career in Marketing and Sales Communication. After working for a number of major advertising and marketing agencies including Y&R and Saatchi & Saatchi, Mark set up his own agency, RPE, in 1989. Working with two partners, he ran the agency for 17 years before selling his shares and becoming an independent consultant.

Mark has worked with major brands across the UK, Europe and worldwide including Legal & General, Prudential, CA, Orange Business Services, IBM and Canon. In an increasingly complex multi-communication channel world, his focus is on simplifying a company’s brand proposition and messaging to ensure it resonates with its target market and identifies the emotional and rational benefits to the customer.

Working at Board level, Mark brings an understanding of business culture and a wealth of experience to the management of communication within a company and with its partners and clients – always with the aim of building a supportive, collaborative and motivating environment. He also works with TenBroeke clients to assist their communication strategies on infrastructure projects and their multiple target markets.

Happily married for over 25 years, Mark has a son and daughter who enjoy challenging his awareness of latest language trends.
